100 Step Cemetery is a secluded graveyard that sits in a
clearing high above the road. The stone steps that gave this cemetery it's nickname take you to the top, where most
of the graves are located.
According to local legend, if one counts all of the steps all the way to the top, the
spectre of the original caretaker will appear and the manner of your death will be revealed to you. Then, if you
count the steps on the way down and the numbers match, the prophecy of your death will come true.
Note:
there aren't 100 steps to count! A lot of the steps are broken, sunken, or covered with grass by now. We got three
different counts from three different investigators (there are approximately 60 viable steps).
Toward the
back of the cemetery (the east end), there area a lot of older graves, and one area that is segregated from other tombstones
by a low, iron fence. It is in this area that we concentrated on our investigation.
The air was still
a bit humid, even at night, which probably explains why we caught so many "orb-like" objects in our photos (reflections
of water vapor). Also, there were many insects and lightning bugs present, further hampering clear photos of anything
that could be considered "anomalous". It was a full moon that night, therefore it never seemed to get "really
dark", and as secluded as the cemetery is, it has the capability of being pitch dark at times.
We did record
some temperature changes from one area to the next (usually around a 5 degree difference), and at one point we did get an
EMF jump from the base of .2 to 1.1.
Conditions may not have been ideal for an exhaustive investigation, and iGHOST
may return someday. Below are some photos from our investigation.

After discovering a possible EVP
at Carpenter's Cemetery from our first visit, iGHOST returned to the graveyard on June 8, 2007 to investigate further.
This time the complete team was present. We did take at least one anomalous photo that we are still reviewing and will post
shortly.
This time there was no moon, so the cemetery was very dark, and considerably cooler than on our previous
visit. We got a different "feeling" on this night that there was something going on in the graveyard (we experienced
equipment failure and one team member developed a strong headache shortly after arriving).
The following EVP was recorded on June 1, 2007 by iGHOST
at the eastern end of the cemetery (near the fence). If you listen closely you can hear one investigator clear her throat
at the end, but still hear the EVP underneath. The EVP has undergone digital audio noise reduction.

Hell's Gates (Diamond, Indiana)
Case File 07-0601B
Classification: Urban Legend, Folklore
"Hell's Gates", just north of Brazil, is a train overpass where according to legend a train
derailed, killing several people. To this day, people continue to visit the site, believing that paranormal activity
occurs there. Supposedly, if one were to park in the tunnel and turn off their car, after several minutes you would
see blood seeping from the walls and hear loud banging around your car. Then, if you would see your name on the
walls, it meant your impending doom.
The tunnel is full of graffiti, and it is not out of the realm of possibility
that one would see their name on the wall (as almost every name imaginable has been spray-painted onto the wall is some form
or another).
It is important to note that after conducting research, iGHOST found no record of any train
derailment at this location. However, it remains a local legend in the area, as well as a popular hang-out.

The Bloody "T", a.k.a. "Bloody Mary"
(Diamond, Indiana)
Case File 07-0601C
Classification: Urban Legend
Just beyond "Hell's Gates" is another local legend that iGHOST
investigated. At a "T" intersection, it is rumored that if one turns left and stops at the stop sign, turns
off their lights, honks their horn, and looks back at the "T" sign, you will see the "T" bleeding when
lit up by the car's brake lights. Obviously, this did not work. Another legend best left to local lore!
